Oh hello, December.

Whew, I survived to the end of school and got my 2322843 papers written.

Writing papers for me is like pulling teeth. It was not fun times.

Anyhow, they're done, and I'm loving Christmas break and all of my holiday gigs! I just got back from a weekend of playing with the Symphony Orchestra Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. I made some new friends, and we enjoyed playing our holiday pops concert!

My stand partner and I decided to turn bowties into headbands. :)

I'll have to tell you about the guy in the picture above a little later... ;)

Now. In case you haven't heard - Mandy over at Mandipidy is hosting a whole day of giveaway goodness for her birthday! Happy Birthday Mandy!

Plans

Do you ever have those days when you just don't know where your life is headed?

I've been having quite a few of those days recently. As I watch many of my friends land jobs, get married, and start new chapters in their lives, I can't help but feel I'm stuck in an old chapter, desperately trying to turn the page. As much as I try to squash it, that little voice in my head sometimes says, why don't I deserve those things? When is it my turn?

I'm not a very patient person, and I'm ready to move on.

But then again, change terrifies me.

As I move towards my 25th birthday, graduation, and a job, part of me wants to dig in my heels because I can't see what is around the bend. But another part of me wants to plunge forward, emerging as a new - and hopefully wiser - person.

During these days of doubt - and sometimes sadness - I've turned to one Bible verse:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

(joykruse)

I trust that God has my future in His hands, and I need to have patience in knowing that these things will come in His time, not mine.

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Jeremiah 29:12-13

I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for...

...surviving my 8K Turkey Trot this morning.

It was fun - despite the rain!

(But I may not be able to walk in the morning.)

On a more serious note, I am deeply thankful for all that God has provided for my family and me, and I am thankful to have such wonderful friends, both near and far. I spent a lovely afternoon with my family eating turkey, macaroni and cheese, green beans, biscuits, and my mom's incredible chocolate pie.

(We southerners know how to cook a [delicious] heart attack on a plate!)

My sister and I then took photos of some new products for my Etsy shop. It was great to pretend that we were models and just laugh together. Here's a sneak peek:

Be sure to check back here early tomorrow for some holiday weekend deals! I'll be giving away huge (earlybird!) discounts to my blog readers and Facebook fans as well as offering 25% off any purchase from Black Friday until Cyber Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Five Etsy Favorites

Well, I only had five Etsy favorites lined up for today until I opened the front page a few minutes ago and saw these:

(bestbrownie)

Oh man.

Anyhow, on to my other five favorites.

(rarrarpress)

I love this postcard! It would be a perfect note to anyone you miss!

And it's adorable.

(tortillagirl)

Do you like lace as much as I do?

(EricaLeaPhotography)

Reading is one of my favorite things to do so this print definitely makes me happy.

(jjewelry1)

I really want one of these when I finish my marathon!

(If I don't die, that is.)

I also want one of those fun stickers for my car that says 26.2.

(kelseygenna)

This dress is such a lovely shade of mint green, and I love the rosettes on the front.

Too bad I can't afford it. Maybe I'll learn how to make my own one day.

Ok, so now I have to admit something. I was rather upset this morning after a long rehearsal at school, and I let out my frustrations at Hobby Lobby on the way home. It probably wasn't the best idea - kind of like going to the grocery store when you're hungry. I would show you a picture of everything I bought, but it's a bit embarrassing. At least they were having a sale? That's an excuse - right?

I am excited, though, about all the new projects I'll have time to make over Thanksgiving break!

:)

I'm Back.

Here's a sneak peek at something new coming to my Etsy shop!

I'm in love with this country peach color...

...I think I may have to make one for me.

I hope you all have a great start to the week!

Cheers,
